Jana Bramwell, Art Editor/Layout and Design

I’m not a writer. So I won’t bother with any grand, and possibly inappropriate, metaphors involving umbrellas or factories or rain. In fact, I spend an inordinate amount of time telling strangers where their nearest exit is. (There’s usually 2 in the front, 2 over the wings, and 2 in the back, for future reference.) I’m a flight attendant. But that’s not why I’m here either. I am here because I have a passion for art. Some lovely (and not so lovely) people at the Art Institute of Colorado have even given me a piece of paper signifying my passion. I provide the graphics and other artwork for this whole umbrella-makin’ operation. See that neat-looking logo up in the left hand corner? I totally designed that. I’m looking to give the Umbrella Factory a little style to its substance. A picture is worth 1000 words, after all. So that makes me about 1000 times more important than Amanda, Anthony, Julie, and Mark. Just kidding, guys. Maybe only 600 or 700 times 🙂 . In any case, I hope the Umbrella Factory provides an outlet for aspiring writers and artists to present their work to a wider audience. I feel at home in the Factory with all of my other workers and I look forward to our progression and connections with new workers, writers, readers and artists. Well, I’m about done here; if you need to find your way out, just look for the ‘Back’ button on your web browser, commonly marked with an arrow pointing left. Sorry… force of habit…
